Boxing is the basis of striking sports in the ring. It serves as an absolute foundation on how to move, how to strategize on the fly, and how to keep yourself protected. The classic “sweet science” takes many years to master, and will take even longer without guidance. Every minute detail is important in this art, and therefore, personal attention is important for technical improvement.
In this discipline, the coach will teach you the basics of boxing. Your stance, your guard, your strike, and footwork are all so important in order to start you off “on the right foot”. Boxing requires your heart and soul to be put inside it if you want to really excel.
However, boxing is also an excellent sport to relax, to train your body, and to become physically and mentally fit. Do not be pressured by the idea that you have to perform, or have to fight in the ring, there is a place for everyone in the boxing gym.
